Elephant tooth paste experiment

Last Wednesday there  were special people that came from Edgewater College. They came  to do the elephant toothpaste experiment  with us. Then  they got two people from Learning Space 1. Troy and Viva got chosen . They went to help. They put on the safety glasses. Then Mrs Davis said to Viva to put  the dish washing liquid in the measuring cylinder. Then she said to Troy to put the crystals  in. Then it went tall and frothy. It went out of the measuring cup and went like fizzy drink.

Tonga word  to 4
  1. My name …  ko hoku hingoa ko…
  2. Malo e lelei ...   hello...
  3. please ... Katak...
  4. Sorry  … fakamole ...

Tonga is a group of about 170 islands in western Polynesia in the south Pacific, next to Fiji and Samoa. Archaelogists  and linguistic research have shown that the first settlers came at around 1000 BC probably from New Guinea, Indonesia or Philipines. They formed many chiefdoms in the islands which have been united in 1845 into one Kingdom by the King Taufa'ahau Siaosi Tupou I. Tonga is the only country in the region which has never been a colony. Till nowadays they remain the last polynesian Kingdom, almost an absolute monarchy. There are about 110.000 Tongans living in Tonga and about 60.000 or more overseas.

  • Most species of shark eat things like fish crustaceans, mollusks, plankton, krill, marine mammals and other sharks. Sharks also have a very acute sense of smell that allows them to detect blood in the water from miles away

  • Great White sharks are carnivorous, preying on nearly any fish in the ocean, though fat rich animals are preferred. Juvenile (before 15 years of age) sharks often hunt and eat small fish, as the cartilage in their jaws has not mineralized enough to withstand the force needed for a stronger bite. Older sharks are able to hunt larger prey, such as elephant seals, sunfish and even whales. Many juvenile Great Whites have been discovered to have inedible materials in their stomachs, including beer cans, license plates and shoes.
Paragraph 3
Habitat
  • 2-3 sentences about where your animal lives.
  • Try to include a rhetorical question to make your reader think.
The Great White’s distribution is widespread, being found in every ocean and sea across the world. They are most commonly found as far north as the Upper Atlantic and Pacific, just south of Arctic waters and as far south as the southern tip of Australia. The Great White is considered native to the Mediterranean states, United States, sub-Saharan coastal states, South America and the Australian states. Most sharks stay close to coastal shelves, preferring to hunt just off the coastline, though some have been detected to swim in the deep ocean.
Paragraph 4
Other (Your choice)
  • 2-3 sentences that tell some of the interesting facts you have found out about.
  • Beginning one sentence with a hook is your challenge here.
Sharks do not have a single bone in their bodies. Instead they have a skeleton made up of cartilage; the same type of tough, flexible tissue that makes up human ears and noses.

  • What is an interesting fact about your topic?
Have few predators
Paragraph 1
Appearance
  • 2-3 sentences about what your animal looks like.
Try to include an interesting fact.

Paragraph 2
Diet
  • 2-3 sentences about what your animal eats.
  • Try to include brackets () to explain something in greater detail.

Conclusion:
  • A sentence that ends your report with one of your most interesting facts
Shrak are cool and  have long teeth.
